Only a few weeks ago, we announced our $68 million Series C round of funding led by growth equity firm Stripes, with participation from new investors DTCP, Cisco Investments and Databricks, and existing investors YL Ventures, Bessemer Venture Partners, Microsoft’s venture fund M12, U.S. Venture Partners, Blumberg Capital and Snowflake Ventures, which brought the total investment in Hunters to $118 million.
The acknowledgment, trust, and investment of DTCP - the investment management group backed by Deutsche Telekom - in Hunters is a key milestone for the company’s expansion in the European market. The presence of DTCP in Germany and the rest of Europe is a force multiplier in providing Hunters’ SOC platform to Europe’s largest organizations.
Being in the cyber industry for over two decades, it is exciting to see a rare product-market fit such as the one we are now experiencing at Hunters. It seems like the Hunters solution came at a perfect timing, as many organizations across Europe rethink their SOC strategy and structure and rebuild it to better address the challenge they were originally intended for: effective, accurate, and timely threat detection and response.
For many years, SOCs have been relying on tools – predominantly SIEMs – that weren't designed to handle the complexity, variety, and scale of the problems we face today.

The SIEM market is ripe for disruption since it drives limited security outcomes for its customers. Players in this category focus on data ingestion and leave customers to build their own detection engineering and investigation capabilities, and have significant gaps in scale and pricing models. Watching large European enterprises like Booking.com and Cimpress leverage Hunters’ SOC Platform has demonstrated the success of our approach. In the past year, we ingested and analyzed tens of petabytes of data into our platform, we added over 20 new integrations every quarter – a list that keeps growing –, and we helped customers manage significant cybersecurity events like Log4Shell and supply chain attacks like SolarWinds’.

The partnership with DTCP comes at a time when there is an unprecedented opportunity in the security market: European organizations are starting to migrate to the cloud a significant part of their infrastructure and services; remote-working has been incorporated into the lives of millions of Europeans, imposing new security threats; the tighter regulatory framework in the EU requires closer attention of organizations to prevent data breaches - all at times when the threat landscape continues to evolve with advanced ransomware and supply chain attacks. Altogether, this is creating a new paradigm for organizations and their cybersecurity needs.
